Sales Outreach Campaign

Cross functional collaboration was common at Custom Ink. I frequently provided content for Sales Outreach campaigns, but always received a content outline to follow from the sales team.

In the Spring of 2024, I proposed writing the content outline for our “Never Bought Promo” campaign, aimed at getting customers to engage with and purchase our growing selection of promotional products.

Not only was this the most successful sales outreach campaign ever, it also blew benchmarks for order rate, average order value, and revenue per send out of the water and created $2m in sales opportunities.

Project Highlights

The “Never Bought Promo” outreach campaign featured both a marketing and sales component, with the marketing team sending two emails on behalf of our sales reps to existing customers and the sales team reaching out to prospective customers with copy and imagery provided by our marketing team before following up with call scripts I wrote.

The campaign was sent to 13,000 people in two audience segments—Business and Schools:

  • The School audience saw an astonishing 317% increase in order rates with a 45% lift in average order value

  • The Business audience saw a 31% lift in click rates and 33% lift in order rates

  • The campaign generated 596 sales opportunities with a projected value of $2 million
